Our Support Workers, work in both the private and public sector, within the North-West.
Support workers help service users to live a dignified and independent life within the community.
This may include provision of personal, emotional, social and physical support.
NVQ level 2 or 3 in adult care and 5 years’ experience is preferable.
Residential Childcare Worker
Residential Childcare workers work with vulnerable, challenging children and
young people who are looked after in residential homes.
You will be involved in the day-to-day care of young people.
We require NVQ level 2 or 3 in young people’s care.
A minimum of 1 years’ experience with children/young people.
Our supply teachers work across Greater Manchester and supply Primary, secondary and colleges.
They me be asked to provide short/medium or long term cover as required.
You will need to deliver effective teaching and learning to children and young people.
We require a degree level qualification in teaching and a DFES number.
We provide all sectors with administrative and clerical workers.
We require staff who have the relevant experience within the sector.
Children’s Centre Workers
Our centre workers work within Surestart children’s centres and in Nurseries.
You will develop and deliver child-centred quality play activities to families through the EYFS.
You will provide family support services to children under the age of 5 and the people who care for them.
These roles require us to employ candidates that have an NVQ in Childcare level 2 or 3 and Health and Safety
You will be required to carry out cleaning duties which contribute to a high standard of health and hygiene
and aesthetic presentation. Ensuring all tools and equipment are treated with care and used safely.
This work may also involve interacting with vulnerable groups.
Our staff have basic Childcare Skills and are aware of the constraints of the Children’s Act of 1989 and
Care Standard Act of 2000. All our staff will be given some basic information about your organisation.
Information that will be passed on will include services you provide and the type of clients in your care.
All new staff will undergo an initial induction programme which may include:
- Child protection
- Client Confidentiality protocol
- Log Keeping & information recording (to be adapted according to the establishment)
- Health & Safety procedures
- Infection Control / Hygiene procedures
- Managing Challenging Behaviour
- Basic Food Hygiene
- Team Work
A fully qualified trainer will be invited to deliver tailor made courses in order to enhance staff development.
